MINIMAL DRESS IN GLASS AND VELVET. Minimalism is defined as the concept of minimising distractions from what is essential. In order to understand the real essence of things. The term fiction does not mean as everyone thinks, a set of lies, but rather the way to find the truth. I started with a glass triangle, velvet and an image of a theatre. After a careful analysis of clothes designed in correlation with the theme of the collection, I realised a strong link with 1920s minimalism. The glass and the link with art deco. Velvet and the sophistication of haute couture. I wanted to create a new minimalism that reflects today’s society, remembers the past and thinks about the future. To do this, I chose to consider two macro-topics: old minimalism and future minimalism. For old minimalism, I chose the theatrical minimalism of the centuries before the 21st century.
